Better than tinselled greetings at Christmas

Are the blue and gold of holiday brochures

That pour their sunshine into the gloom of January

And the overstatements of colour in seedmen’s catalogues

That scatter the glowering storm clouds with flowers

Startling reminders that miracles are unending

That the wonders of God are new every day and living

That the sun and the flowers prove an Eternal Easter
